SUNRISE AUTO SALES in ASHVILL N. CAROLINA. A "FAMILY" OF RUTHLESS, DISHONEST, UNCARING INDIVIDUALS WITH NO MORALS OR ETHICS WHATSOEVER! test1

A "FAMILY" OF RUTHLESS, DISHONEST, UNCARING INDIVIDUALS My name is Shari Hall. My husband Kevin and I went to purchase a vehicle(1988 Chevy S-10) back on April 21, 1999 at Sunrise Auto Sales at 1541 Patton Avenue in Ahseville, N.C. We used our 1987 Buick Century as a down payment (market value of around $800.00). Upon advising the Owner, Jim Lindsay, that we needed "reliable transportation" because my husband travelled a lot for work. We were told it was a "very good and reliable truck". ..If we did not like the vehicle after a few days you can always return it. We drove the truck off lot believing this truck would indeed be reliable. As we were driving home we noticed the trucks panels flickering and we smelled something funny. So as soon as we got home we called Mr. Lindsay the owner and told him what was going on. He said, ah, don't worrie about it, if ther is any problem and your disatisfied, you can switch it for another vehicle. Just keep driving it for at least a week and get back to us. Lo, and behold, two days later after signing the "buy here/pay papers" to purchase the vehicle, my husband was driving to work when he noticed all the panels on the dash quit working, such as the speedometer, the odometer, and oil light. When he arrived home that day, he noticed it had burned the two quarts of oil he had put in the day before. During his travels to work he was very concerned. Being concerned we put in several calls to the owner and never got a call back. We left a message as to the problems with the truck. My husband then realized something must be wrong with the vehicle and he would have to take it in to be checked. Since he had to go to work the next day, he planned on taking it the following day (which would be day 4 of owning the vehicle). On his way to work that day, shortly over an hour enroute, he noticed a cloud of smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. As soon as it was safe (which wasn't but maybe a half mile) he pulled off the side of the road. Upon looking underneath the hood, he noticed then, something was seriously wrong; oil was covering the engine and noticed broken parts (specifically the alternator bracket - it was hard to tell what else with oil everywhere!!). He had to stand on the side of the highway, waiting for a police officer to pass by so he could then flag him down to get some assistance getting to a phone to call a tow truck. He could not leave the vehicle at all, since he was transporting merchandise from one store to another in the value of $1000. When all this happened, he was still at least 30 minutes away from work, or one and a half hours from home. He thenhad to call work for a ride. His supervisor had to have someone take time off work to travel to where he was to pick up the merchandise. The towing service charged $40.00. Kevin lost a days pay of approximately $110 and it cost him $30.00 to get back home. Upon returning home, we tried to contact Sunrise Auto. It was Saturday and they are closed!? On Monday morning, April 26th, I phoned Sunrise and spoke with the owner (Rick) And explaine what had happened. We told him we want to get a different vehicle like they promissed we could if we were not happy in any way during the fist week. He responded and said,"You bought the truck "As Is" ('scuse me . . . "As is"); he reitrated again, can't do a thing for you! ..We said, You told us the first day when we thought something was wrong, to just keep it for a week, that if we did not like the truck for any reason we could switch it for another one. TOO BAD, SO SAD, DON'T LET THE TAILGATE HIT YOU IN THE TAILGATE ON YOUR WAY OUT, EH?! We advised them we had no intentions of paying for this truck, which obviously was a worthless hunk of metal. Mistakenly we told him where the truck was. We also advised him we never knew about takeing it AS IS. Sunrise Auto sales picked up the truck that day and brought it back to his lot! He is now holding both vehicles hostage! He told us "You give me $700 to replace the motor, $50 to replace the water pump and I'll give you your car back. But I'll hold the title until you pay me the $750." Is this SCUM with no MORALS or what?!!! A friend of ours called and expressed that she was aware that they have had many "priors" with the Better Business Bureau, Auto Division, and stated that if we would like to resolve this as oppossed to putting another mark on their record at the BBB. She spoke with the owner, Jim Lindsay's sister, Sharon Lambert who began to 'gush' what a "nice guy and honest individual my brother is. He wouldn't rip anyone off." She stated that he was not there at the time, because he had gone to get the truck. She also stated, however, that our car was still on the lot and she was "sure my brother will give them back their car". She stated she would advise us, which she did. We called the nice, honest, sweet Mr. Lindsay the next morning explaining that our friend told us she had spoken with Ms. Lambert and what was said and that we wanted to come down and get our car back. He told me, blatantly and with a real nasty attitude; "I'll tell you the same thing over the god dam phone that I'd tell you in person: You give me $700 to replace the motor, $50 to replace the water pump and then I'll give you your car back. What happened to good old-fashioned "Ethics"? And "Morals"? Even a touch of "Humanity", laced with some "Compassion". This good old boy wouldn't recognize any of the above, if they jumped up and bit him in the ASS!! My husband is a good, honest, kind man. This jerk isn't even a man, let alone kind and decent! I'm sick of the consumer being run over and stepped on by 'vermin' like JIM LINDSAY, his salesman RICK HOUGHTON (who backed up the B.S. his boss was feeding us!!), and the kindly stepsister SHARON LAMBERT, who couldn't sing her brother's praises loud enough. If SHE doesn't know her own brother for what he realy is, how are decent people like my husband suppoesd to be able to perform a simple thing, (like purchasing an automobile that is safe for us and our two small children), with some trust?! And maybe a spec of dignity left over? SUNRISE AUTO @ 1541 PATTON AVENUE IN ASHEVILLE, NC ARE A "FAMILY" OF RUTHLESS, DISHONEST, UNCARING INDIVIDUALS WITH NO MORALS OR ETHICS WHATSOEVER! We didn't think this sort of thing happened here in the Carolina Mountains, where people are just so "kind, compassionate and caring" - And this is our first time being expose to such scoundrels since moving here a few years ago! Hope it's our last! And I hope they don't get many more opportunities to "victimize" more trusting, individuals!!! (Buyer Beware: There is a separate division at the BBB for Automobile industry complaints - Not that they're worth a damn! Face it . . . they're in business because of businesses!!) Through the Internet we contacted the www.ripoffREPORT.com We filed this complaint for the world to see and now have the help Through the www.RipOffREVENGE.com they turned us on to a free Nationwide service for help, Consumers Against Consumer Rip-Offs. They are reachable at 602-823-HELP or e-mail them through www.help@ripoffrevenge.com This is a Great Site!! Hope more people participate!! P.S. My husband has no vehicle at this time and has to use my van (which costs him $15.00 a day in gasoline) and me, I'm stranded with two small children, sometimes for a few days at a time. Since this setback, he sometimes if forced to spend a couple nights in Hickory closer to his job to avoid the added cost and wear and tear on our families vehicle (I can't begin to stress to you what this hasdone to our marriage). How absurd the simple task of purchasing a vehicle has turned into our worst nightmare!! We're glad your here to listen!! I hope more people will read this site and maybe take notice before ever stepping foot on Sunrise Auto Sales of Asheville's car lot! Shari Hall

AUTO - MART or AUTO NATION, IT'S ALL THE SAME RIP-OFF *REBUTTAL test1

THEY LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS THEY LIE TO THE BANKS ... FRAUD? THEY THREATEN & INTIMIDATE THEIR CUSTOMERS USING FOUL LANGUAGE THEY CHANGE THE INTEREST AND CAR PRICE WITH OUT THE CUSTOMERS KNOWLEDGE THEY SAY YOUR LOAN IS APPROVED, THEY GIVE YOU A CAR, THEN THEY DEMAND MORE MONEY OR THEY TAKE THE CAR BACK THEIR REPUTATION IS SHODDY AT BEST THEY ARE OWNED BY A TEXAN WHO OWNS 360+ DEALERSHIPS AROUND THE COUNTRY & ALL THE BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO STORES, & ALL THE AUTO NATION DEALERSHIPS AROUND THE COUNTRY TOO IN ARIZONA, THEY ALSO OWN BROWN & BROWN CHEVROLET & NISSAN, LOU GRUB CHEVROLET, BELL FORD AND THERE IS PROBABLY MORE HERE IS ONE OF MANY HORROR STORIES 1) I originally went to Auto Mart to get financing on a vehicle from an auto-broker that refers business to them. 2) The payment was more than I wanted to pay so they suggested that I look at one of their cars. 3) They wrote a contract with me for a 1994 Plymouth Acclaim. In order to complete the contract, references, pay stubs, lease agreement, a copy of my phone bill and my 1967 Chevrolet Bel-air Station Wagon with title was required. My 1967 Chevy was used as a down payment, plus $250 in 30 days. A few days later I drove the car down to their lot and gave Mike the title. He took the car and drove the car to the side of their building. 4) Over the next two weeks the above conditions were met. 5) After another week the bank requested my tax papers due to the fact my pay stubs were hand written. I told them I could not get that for them. 6) The Bank and Auto-Mart called up D/S Solaec-Tek (my employer) several times in regards to the pay stubs being hand written. After several lengthy discussions the Bank seemed satisfied. D/S said that the pay stubs have been prepared hand written for years. 7) Around the 3rd week in October I went down to Auto-Mart and signed a new contract with Mark. Payments were less than the original contract in addition I added a service contract for the car as agreed from the original contract (Marks suggestion). 8) The Bank put a cap on the monthly dollar amount so they told me that I need to produce another source of income to cover an additional $20 per month added to the contract. I had a conference call in Marks office with the Bank to add the additional $20 to the contract and that night the contract was signed. They asked for pay stubs from Rigatoni's which I delivered the next day. 9) Approximately 5 days later I got a message on my business phone that Mark wanted bank statements now. He called later that night at my house and spoke to my wife demanding the car back or bank statements. This upset my wife very much. 10) The next day I called Auto-Mart and left a message for Mark with one of the other financial officers (Tina?) stating that I was very upset with the situation of them calling my house and upsetting my wife and that I was to return the car. 11) That day Mike (salesman) comes to my office demanding that I give him the car now, and I told him that the car was not here and that I would deliver the car over the weekend. 12)Sometime over the next couple of days I received a call from Brett who said he was the (owner of Auto-Mart) regarding the situation. During the course of our conversation he mentioned that he didn't want the car back and I told him that I liked the car. During our conversation I asked him what happened to my car and he said that he had gotten rid of it. 13) He called Bank 1 and got them to finance me at 19% not 24% but he wanted $800 more up front. He told me to think it over and get back to him later that day. I told him that I would discuss it with my wife and get back to him by the next morning. He said that this was OK but if I didn't take his deal he wanted the car back immediately. This was Friday. 14) Saturday morning after discussing this with my wife we decided not continue, mstly because he wanted another $800 up front. It was mentioned when I first got together with Auto-Mart that my only down payment would have to be my car. I could put any additional funds down. That morning I called Auto-Mart to let Brett know my decision. He was not there so I left a message with the financial officer (Tina) of my decision and to ask Brett to call me when I came in. 15) That afternoon Brett called cussing and demanding his car now. I told him that I was advised not to return the car until mine (Chevy) was back on the lot. He said that it was there now. 16) I returned the car that day. When I went to my car on their lot I found that various parts were missing and laying on top of the engine. I had driven the car on to the lot when the deal was started and obviously I could not drive it off. 17) I immediately brought Brett over to the car and showed him the condition of the car. His only comment was that he did not know how the car was brought in (driven or towed). 18) November 26 my wife received a call from Auto-Mart telling her they would be happy to help out by towing my car from their lot anywhere that they wanted. I had no car for weeks They ruined my credit Ed Prosinski

Blantant deceit and a rip-off test1

I leased an Acura and went to buy another Acura from the dealership. The salesman told me that since I was staying in the Acura family I wouldnt have to pay the disposition fee on my leased Acura. Months later, I was billed for the disposition fee - When I called to inquire from the dealership, the salesman said, You only get the benefit if you would have financed with AHFC. Well, I had specifically asked that question during the negotiations... The salesman told me after the fact I cant remember WHAT I told you...Sorry, but those are the rules... The WORST part of this mess is that my very polite calls and letters to the management of the dealership AS WELL AS the parent company went unanswered for over 3 months!! When the parent company finally got back to me, they said Too bad.... Its the dealership and out of our control. My final call to the dealership, was met with beligerance and arrogance... They have all but admitted that they lied and have in a roundabout way have said Regardless of WHAT we may have TOLD you, you are out of luck - Pay up! Just heard of a similar experience from an acquaintance about the same dealership.....

ROBERT GREEN CHEVROLETTE in Monticello, New York, Ripping People off for many years. *UPDATE test1

Robert Green Chevrolet Rout 17 Monticello, New York 12701 Dear Mr. Green: As per my request for the 50th time,I am asking you to refund the money owed to me and my mother. 1.You took my warranty papers to cancel the policy from the old vehicle, you lost the papers and I lost now approximately $1,300.00. 2.The vehicle I turned in to your respectable business for trade, your agent said (after opening up the Blue book) "well we will give you wholesale value on your car Robin... and that is $7,500.00"! I had no reason not to believe him. You gypped me out of a minimum of $4,500.00. And thats not all. 3.This was a new car. I can't understand why there was no sticker on this car (as I can't understand why so many of your new cars have no stickers in the window or on the floor of the car). I took pictures of these cars two weeks ago with their VIN numbers. So, your agent drew up a paper stating my car price at $10,612.15. That car then and now, the new sticker price for this car with nothing extra in it would be approximately $9,300.00. This was verified with three (3) other dealers. Here you gypped me out of $1,312.00. and still, thats not all. 4.The car had six (6) miles on the odometer when I saw it and bought it, how come the odometer stated 160 miles on it. You then had me sign a paper saying it had 60 miles. At the time I did not realize the difference. This added up with everything else is very wrong. Since the interior of the car seemed a different color it's obvios that the car was switched. Your code of ethics stinks. In your opinion, you did nothing wrong! Well as a customer, I do not agree with you and neither do the car dealers I spoke to. Over eight of your past customers I spoke with had nothing good to say about you or your dealership policies, not to mention the host of people who have reported you to various agencies over many many years now. Lets not forget car parts! Every car part receipt that I could obtain, I was charged by your dealership 30%, 50% to 110% more than all other dealers charged, why? I have asked my parents for their help and they advised me to respectfully ask you again for the last time before I take action for the following: Item il: $1,300.00 Item #2: $4,500.00 Item #3: $1,312.00 TOTAL $7,112.00 REFUND DUE The offer you made to me to go to Temple with you and a free week at your hotel in Pennsylvania, plus future discounts on auto parts, is not acceptable to me as it is an insult and considered to be a JOKE. I am also requesting that you remove your cars from the roadway, or public right of way, on the road. The cars are blocking our public right of way and your cars do not belong there. You are blocking people from legally using the right of way. I then plan to forward all of this to GM's regional and national offices. I'm sure they will do nothing either. I will not let this end till I get reimbursed in full! You Personally seem very nice, butI must keep in mind, your still a car salesman. I am now asking you to use good business sense and wake up to the coffee - refund my money. Again, please remove ALL the cars off of the public right of way, or I'll call the city! You people have been crooks for years! You must be stoped. Pay up! Robin Kaminski P.S. Mr. Green Sr. & Jr., if you lost my address, just contact the RipOff Report, and let them know you have a check for me for a full reimbursment. They will foward the message to me.
