Freestate HMO's, a real consumer Rip-Off test1

Freestate HMO's, a real consumer Rip-Off I had been with Freestate HMO for over 2 years and had encountered no problems with them what so ever... That is until April 8th, 1999! Thats when they decide that since everyone had been suckered into signing up for another year, they could just arbitrarily introduce a formula into their plan. This was no ordinary formulary though, this one made everything outside of aspirin, not the normal wholesale price, but 50% above the wholesale price. In essence, I get to subsidize the HMO through my prescriptions as well as through my paychecks. Here are some examples: Claritin-D $66.00 for 20 tablets (this is normally with NO PLAN $44.00!), Pulmacourt over $100 for 100 mcg. I would actually make out BETTER with NO HMO than with these folks.
